Summer Reading Camp 2023
Let's learn about kindness, friendship, and unity.
- Week 1 — June 26 to 30: Friendship
- Week 2 — July 10 to 14: Compassion
- Week 3 — July 17 to 21: Courage
- Week 4 — July 24 to 28: Family
Camp Details
- Camp is for Grades K-4 — students must have finished Kindergarten to attend
- The cost is $15 per week
- All weeks will run Monday through Friday.
- Camp is held at the Frank Sarris Public Library inside and outside the building.
- Guests this summer include The Pittsburgh Zoo, the Bug Lady, the Carnegie Science, and National Aviary.
Pick Up and Drop Off
- Drop-off and pick-up times are strict, as we will begin one hour before the public opening of the library.
- The camp will begin promptly at 9 am. You may drop off your camper at 8:45 am.
- Due to the library opening at 10 am, we cannot admit campers later than 9:10 am as it will disturb our program. If you must be late, arrangements will need to be made before the start of camp.
- Pick-up will be at 12 pm.
Things to Bring
- A reusable water bottle.
- A snack, not to be shared.
- Sunblock, a hat, and/or sunglasses (for outside activities).
- No Toys and No Flip Flops (dress to run and play).
- Mark your belongings with a name the best you can.
Enrollment
- Enrollment is limited for each week of Summer Reading Camp due to space and staff.
- Please pick the weeks that you know your child can attend.
- There is no payment refund if you cannot attend your week.
- Registration forms must be completed and returned with payment to be considered complete. We cannot hold a spot without the form and the payment. Mailed registrations will not be accepted.
